The Effect of Speed on Coefficient of Friction in African Plum Oil (<em>Dacryodes Edulis</em>) Lubricant

چکیده
One of the major factors influencing variation friction between surfaces in contact is speed; we are faced here with problem determining optimum speed order to improve on mechanical properties and performance entire system. This project investigates experimentally effect rotational (CoF) aluminum disk test samples stainless steel pin using plum oil as a lubricant under thin film lubrication conditions. We first extracted manual pressing method then carried out tests pin-on-disk tribometer per ASTM-G 99 standards at room temperature. Rotational speeds 500rpm 3000rpm normal loads 10N 20N were deployed operating variables predefined was studied. Working time for each 20 minutes run twice average value force calculated. It observed CoF decreases increasing from 500rpm-1500rpm range increases 1500rpm-2500rpm while there slight drop 2500rpm-3000rpm an attained 1250rpm-1500rpm where experienced least coefficient this specific material combination To further investigate other that affect validity these results, more studies needed.

cement is an essential ingredient in the concrete buildings. for production of cement considerable amount of fossil fuel and electrical energy is consumed. on the other hand for generating one tone of portland cement, nearly one ton of carbon dioxide is released. it shows that 7 percent of the total released carbon dioxide in the world relates to the cement industry. considering ecological issu...
